So much of this hits home for a fellow 42. Oh the sleep. Keep the beans and install that generator!!

I knew you would understand the prepper instinct. Too bad we’ll be too tired / sore / nearsighted to survive very long into the apocalypse 😬

A camel coat! 😍 It would look fabulous. The subscription/pay for additional content may be a bit of a rat race. But it can also be a means of people supporting you. Thanks for sharing these thoughtful goals. Inspired more reflection for me

Thank you for voting for the camel coat!

As someone who turned 44 this year, these are worthy goals. We moved just over two years ago. Maybe I should try the "make three friends" goal. And I'm working on finding writing community in my local corner too.

Making friends as an adult is ridiculously hard. I feel like finding a writing community should help with that? But it often feels like a lot of trial and error to find other writers to form a community with. I hope you’re successful with that this year!

Love this, as always! I also hit 42 this year and I still don't know how I feel about it. For haircare, check out Living Proof and Briogeo lines, they should have formulations that work with your current hair.

Another fab post, I look forward to reading what’s on your mind. I applaud the gazebo effort.

I personally have never had the camel coat desire but the heart wants what it wants. Get the coat.

I never had the camel coat desire before the last year or so. I have no need of one in rural Iowa…but I’ve made less useful / more frivolous purchases (like a dilapidated gazebo 😂).

My favorite coat 'ever' was a red camel coat. I wore it for years. Then I moved to Florida. Never had one since. A camel coat (today) seems too classy for living in the middle-of-nowhere Michigan, where I currently call home. I say get one... you'll feel like a million bucks when you strut your stuff.

This week's read was a fun one, thank you!

As someone who just hit 48, welcome! It doesn’t get any easier. And nobody has their stuff together. But I can’t wait to read whatever you write! And I will be in Iowa next May. Maybe sooner, to visit my brother. I really should.
